With the Fargo HDP5000 printer, you can easily incorporate smart card features in-field. This smart card encoder module available for the dual-sided HDP5000 is multi-functional. The Omnikey 5121 encodes contact smart cards, and contactless HID iCLASS and MIFARE/DESFire cards.

* The two smart card encoder modules available for the HDP5000 are multifunctional: The OMNIKEY 5121 encodes contact smart cards, and contactless HID iCLASS and MIFARE cards; the OMNIKEY 5125 encodes contact smart cards and contactless HID Prox cards (read-only). To take advantage of the contact smart card encoding capability in either OMNIKEY model, the encoder must be installed in a dual-sided HDP5000 printer. Fargo suggests ordering the OMNIKEY 5121 if the application only requires contact smart card encoding.
