Rewriteable cards are CR80/30 size and feature a rewritable surface on one side and a PVC finish with a high-coercivity magnetic stripe on the other side. The PVC side of the card may be printed with a full-color dye sublimation or monochrome resin ribbon. The rewritable surface features blue thermal rewriting and they may be erased and re-printed up to 500 times. High coercivity mag stripe cards are ideal for applications where the magnetic stripe is frequently swiped or needs to have a long life, such as access control and/or time and attendance cards. High coercivity stripes are resistant to damage from most magnets and magnetic fields. A card printer with encoding capabilities is needed to encode data to magnetic stripes.
